Dukakis is very interested in "Mrs.Baker" - Sept. 20, 2000
Over the past few weeks the team at Solitaire Films, LLC has been in discussion with Academy Award nominee, Olympia (Moonstruck) Dukakis, about playing the title role of Mrs. Baker.

After reading the script, Miss Dukakis personally told director Kris Kristensen that she is "very interested" in starring in the film as the diabolical Lillian Baker. Mrs. Baker is a psychological horror film about a young woman who struggles to maintain control of her body and identity which are being possessed by the spirit of her dead benefactress (Mrs. Baker).

"Congratulations. You've written a very good script," Miss Dukakis told Kristensen over the phone. Kristensen who co-wrote the script with Brian McDonald was thrilled to hear that she was so seriously interested in the project. "It's fantastic news. Not only is she an amazing actress who I would be honored to work with, but she lends a wealth of credibility to the project. She's an Oscar nominee. Her association with the project completely validates it."

Co-producer Lisa Halpern is also excited about the prospect of working with Miss Dukakis, "I have admired Olympia's work as an actor for many years and am thrilled at the prospect of having her join the company of Mrs. Baker. Her interest is a testament to the quality of the Mrs. Baker screenplay, and her intelligence as an actor would add the perfect subtlety and depth to the finished film."
