"White Face" and "Mrs.Baker" join forces - Oct. 7, 2000
On November 2, Solitaire Films, LLC will hold a dual investor's presentation for Mrs. Baker and private screening of Brian McDonald's short film White Face. The short film was a collaboration between Scotopia Pictures and Angry Young Man Productions. The short explores the discriminations that clowns would faced with if they were an actual race of people.

This is the second fund raiser held for Mrs. Baker. Director Kris Kristensen said, "The first one was so successful, that when all was said and done, we'd raised $100,000, so we figured why not have another?" McDonald added, "Yeah, and the timing coincided perfectly with the completion of 'WHITE FACE' that we decided to have our cast and crew screening at the same time."

Mrs. Baker's co-producer Scott Schill saw White Face for the first time earlier this week, "It's fantastic. The first time I watched it, I just laughed, but the second time through, the poignancy of the piece became apparent to me. It's a very strong piece, and I'm looking forward to screening it for potential investors. We already have a great demo for 'MRS. BAKER', and I think that coupled with 'WHITE FACE' people are gonna be blown away by the talent possessed by Kris and Brian."

At the last fundraiser, screenwriter Mark (Nell) Handley surprised director Kristensen by investing $20,000 in Mrs. Baker during a speech where he introduced the filmmaker. "Naturally, we're inviting Mark to come back, although it would be hard for him to top his last appearance," said Kristensen. "This time we hope to have a few surprise announcements of our own."
