"WHITE FACE" screens in Hollywood - February 23, 2001

During the past week, producers Kris Kristensen and Brian McDonald traveled to Hollywood for a pair of screenings of their award winning short film WHITE FACE.

The first screening took place on Thursday February 8 at the Egyptian Theater as part of the American Cinematheque. The 650 seat theater was nearly at capacity, certainly the largest audience ever to see the film. During the Q&A afterwards McDonald stunned the crowd when he told them that WHITE FACE cost only $1000 to produce. After a moment the silence was broken by a round of applause.

One week later WHITE FACE was shown at a private screening for the members of the Director's Guild of America. Once again the film had a warm reception from the nearly full house. Producer Kristensen remarked "It was real exciting for the two of us. We both hope to be members of DGA some day soon, so to screen here was a real thrill for us both." Writer/Director McDonald added "Especially since only three of the Slamdance award winners were invited to screen here, it's really great to be here."
