Mrs. Baker robs Roy
Actor Carter Roy has been cast as Neil in the feature film Mrs. Baker. Roy read the role of Neil during a live script reading of Mrs. Baker back in October, 2000. Since then he has moved to New York, but director Kris Kristensen has asked him to return to Seattle to do the film. "I was gonna do an open casting call for the part, but I just kept coming back to Carter. I was really happy with what he brought to the script reading, and I know he's gonna walk that fine line of humor and drama that the role asks for," Kristensen said.
Roy himself had this to say, "I'm excited to work with such a strong story - the script propels the characters and as an actor it can be a rare treat to find a story that carries you rather than vice-versa." Commenting about returning to his old stomping grounds, Roy had this to say, "Working with Kris gives me an opportunity to play a lot because of the trust we have from working together, which is the best thing I can ask for." Previously, Roy appeared in Lover's Lane and starred in the yet to be released What About Me? |
