Marjorie Nelson Cast as Mrs. Baker - April 15, 2001
After lots of searching and various scenarios Marjorie Nelson has been cast in the title role of Mrs. Baker. Lillian Baker is the venerable character who dies, only to return from beyond the grave to possess the body of Abbey Nielsen.

"It's a relief to finally have this part cast," declared co-writer/co-producer Brian McDonald. "It's a tough role to cast, because of the age of the character. We toyed with the idea of aging a younger actress with prosthetics, but it seemed less and less desirable. It was going to be too time consuming, costly, and mostly we were afraid it wasn't going to look realisitc."

"With Marjorie we don't have to worry about any of that," stated director Kris Kristensen. "Marjorie's audition was frightening, how honest it was." McDonald added "She was electric. She lit up the room." Kristensen continued "There was no performance there. It was as if we were eavesdropping on a private conversation. Marjorie took to the material like a fish to water. I can't wait to work with her."

"She's truly amazing to watch,"said co-producer Lisa Halpern. "I'm so excited about Marjorie. As a former actress myself, I've always admired Marjorie from afar, and now I get to work on the same project with her. It's like a dream come true."
