White Face, the award winning short film by Brian McDonald, has been selected to screen at 1 Reel. The 1 Reel Film Festival occurs every Labor Day weekend as part of Bumbershoot, the Seattle Arts Festival.

1 Reel is the best-attended celebration of short cinema in the nation, drawing approximately 30,000 audience members over the course of its four-day run. 2001 will mark the festival's 6th year.

Warren Etheredge, the Curator/Coordinator of 1 Reel, had this to say about White Face, "Clowns are pre-judged by the color of their skin... hair... and noses, with serio-COMIC implications. White Face is a three-ring featurette which benefits from show-stopping acts (Matt Smith's in particular) and spectacular presentation (P.T. Barnum would be proud of Mr. Kristensen's cinematography!) Writer-director Brian McDonald's crafted a mockumentary that can go up to 11 Magic Bullets... whereas most can only hope to score 10*. Funnier than GUFFMAN. Truer than Spike."
