SEATTLE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL THROUGH 6/18

A CRACK IN THE SIDEWALK, a shocking film about garage rockers HOUSE OF FREAKS, plays this month at SIFF.
Seven cinemas, 110 shorts, 270 features, 440 screenings. For three weeks each year the Seattle International Film Festival takes over nearly every screen this side of the U-District. We Seattleites get front-row seats to premieres of all shapes (Seattle, North America, world) and sizes (short, feature, live action, documentary). Don’t miss local filmmaker Kris Kristensen’s A Crack in the Sidewalk—a 15-minute documentary about the tragic murder of the lead singer of underground garage band House of Freaks (screening date TBD). Also worth noting is SIFF’s heavy focus on the thriving Danish film scene, as well as its Lincoln Square Cinemas screenings in Bellevue, which mark the first time the fest has traveled to the Eastside.
